Patiala to launch ‘result frame document’

PATIALA: To increase the performance of all officers of Patiala district, the administration has decided to launch Result Frame Document (RFD) in all districts. After this new document, the performance of all officers can be assessed easily by the deputy commissioner and other department heads.
The administration conducted a meeting here and announced the launch of this new document.Some seniors said, with this new document, the performance of all officers will be recorded individually as all officers will have to maintain their separate RFD. The administration will issue forms to all officers separately and direct them to fill their forms as per their performance.
“We would issue forms to all officers. The forms will have various points and all officers will have to fill that points as per their performance. They would submit that forms to us and we would analyze the performance of all officers” said Patiala ADC APS Virk.
Though presently government has an annual appraisal system to asses the performance of all officers annually. But the present system is a lengthy system, which comes after a year.
“Presently we don’t have any system to asses the performance of any officer before the conclusion of year. There are many officers, who perform good only for few months to get good comments in their annual reports as they know that their performance will be assessed from their annual reports. But with this new document, we would be able to check the performance of any office in any month,” said another senior officer.
The ADC Virk has directed all officers to disseminate information about RFD to all junior officers so that the forms could be distributed and collected within stipulated time.
